8hrs completed*

It's been 8hrs or so since I started blogging last night. I could barely open my eyes now, and truely, I don't know how on earth am I going to spar with Mimi this afternoon. I hope my new shoes would do me some justice by providing some grip so that I won't slip down when doing the monkey jump thingy.  Funny, when performing a kungfu pattern, you ought to turn yourself into various creatures such as monkey, snake and white crane. The movements were taken from observation on the animals defensive way of protecting themselves. You might find funny names when learning kungfu, but up to this level, I really haven't heard of it - perhaps I have heard of it, but I didn't understand it. The pattern names are in chinese, so I won't be able to understand unless, somebody else would want to explain to me. SO far, we're referring to these patterns according to their numbers. If I'm taking a black belt test (it's a no-belt system, but to standardize it, we have some sort of a fixed syllabus), i would need to memorize all 10 chinese pattern names. It'd be tough no doubt, but have seen many people succeeded  in doing so. Btw, I have a great teacher who is willing to teach me how to pronounce the chinese words and to write the chinese characters - even if I don't understand it, I would have to force myself to learn it.
I'm going to take a break after Subh prayer, so that I would have the energy to practice the patterns. I think my pattern 9 is still not good enough.  I don't want to "drop my water face" in front of the great "ancient" sifu hehehehe. Ok, that's all for now.
