Spoilt milk and sour grape

Last week had been a hectic one. One wedding, a funeral, an engagement and a dinner (not necessarily in that order) and a shocking news.

Sunday was the peak of all events. I attended my officemate's engagement ceremony in the morning, and in the afternoon I went to my close friend's wedding reception party in Shah Alam. At night I had to attend a dinner at my aunt's house. It was a live-to-eat day! And my tummy is currently in the process of writing a review of yesterday's menu ^__^.

SPOILT MILK

I left my house at 7.10am yesterday and since I didn't have the time to take my breakfast I went to buy a bottle of fresh milk from a gas station in SS4. Then, I went to my cousin's house to pick up a hantaran - a gift from our dept. to our officemate. I then drank the milk and it tasted rather different. I checked the expiry date and alas (formal gila expression ni hahaha) the milk has expired. So, I drove back to the gas station and told the cashier that the milk has expired...

"Expired? (gelabah+annoyed sound) Expired kenapa?"

"Erm...expired sebab dah luput tarikh kak"

"Ye ke expired..."

"Iye...cuba akak check kat botol ni"

" (without touching the bottle) Expired ke?..."

Duh, apsal la korang ni susah sangat nak tengok je botol tu. Dah expired ah, dah lah aku dah lambat nak pergi kenduri, korang nak buat lawak plak kat sini!!

"Betul kak, dah expired...tarikh dia DUA PULUH LIMA haribulan LIMA 2006, kak."

Then she signalled to another senior (I assumed) cashier to check the bottle...The girl confirmed my claim and asked me to take another bottle from the refrigerator...

"It's ok...I'm just telling you so that you'll take the stock off the rack...thanks" (smiled and walked out)

and that's my EGO speaking hahahaha...

SOUR GRAPE

I went to my friend's wedding. We were in the same school from standard 1 till form 1. I went to a different school when I was in form 2. After PMR, this friend of mine joined me at this "new" school. So, both of us have friends from the "old" and "new" schools.

When I attended the reception yesterday, it was like a two schools reunion. I kept being pulled from one side to the other. The North wing was conquered mostly by the "new" school schoolmates while the South wing was crowded by our friends from the "old" school - well...what can I say, I was popular at both schools :P *LANSI*

Unfortunately...the most common first sentence that came out from their mouths was

"A**y...ko dah gemuk!!"

Argggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh...what to do, I was quite thin last time (yah, blame the heartache+headache+homesickness+pressure+mean girls+stupid boys etc.) now that I've learned to defend myself from all those unnecessary-blockable elements of life I've added a few stones to my weight. (thanks to my intellectual maturity and my sometimes smartmouth).

I am very extremely sure that I'm going to continue my classes with kru Jak.

One last word for my friends...

"YOU JUST WAIT..."

hahahaha. (Yes, I'm pretty happy with my life)

p.s. shocking news?? ssssssshhhhhh...perhaps later ^__^
