Selamat Hari Pekerja ^__^

Yes, I had to work yesterday...I don't mind invigilating an exam, but our-trying-to-be-funny-HEAD of Programmes-(head)with-peanut brain said, "We are Executives...Labour's Day is only for labourers". Funny thing, he and the rest of the Executives (except the five of us who were in charge of yesterday's exam) were absent (MIA) yesterday.

I hope he will not try to be funny with the five of us when we ask for Compensatory Time Off later!

While invigilating the Statistics exam yesterday, we ran out of graph papers so our chief invigilator rang up the exam secretariat and asked them to send in more graph papers. Kak Z who was on duty yesterday send another 40 graph papers. We distributed to those who needed them to the very last piece.

Ten minutes before the exam ended, a student asked for another graph paper so I phoned the secretariat again, requesting for backup.Unfortunately, another officer picked up the phone and scolded me,

"Lagi seploh minit nak abis exam, ape hal nak mintak kertas graf lagi ni!! Dia tersalah buat graf ke, menyusahkan orang je..."

Two minutes later, she entered the exam hall and said angrily at me,

"Sape yang nak kertas ni??!!Tadi dah bagi pat puloh dah! Tak cukup lagi, salah buat ke nak ape ni??!!Korang buat ape dengan kertas ni?!"

I explained to her that it was not enough, and the boy who asked for the paper was really in need of the paper to answer the final question.

As far as I am concerned, it is the responsibility of the Faculty (as stated on the exam question paper) to provide graph papers, papers for calculation etc. Even if the student asked for a piece of graph paper one minute before the time ends, we have to fulfil his/her request.

Sakit hati betullllllllllllllllllll!!!! Kalau emo pun sebab kena kerja on Hari Buruh, tak payah la nak mendajalkan students yang nak ambil exam. Hampeh tul! My advice to the officer - Go and prepare your resignation letter lah!!
