National Tournament 2

Last year, our national tourney was officiated by HRH Sultan Mizan, the Sultan of Terengganu. He's the Patron of MGTF. My friends from Legends have been teasing me ever since, saying that I'm gonna be the next "Sultanah" (yeah rite!). You know lah, me and my "ambition" to marry a filthy rich man. When the Sultan came for the opening ceremony, the guys asked me to sit in front so that the Sultan could see me clearly...so I told them,

"aler, aku dok belakang nih pun dia dah kenyit2 mata...takyah gi tayang muka lebih2 lah"

"yalah, he called alia already lah, before he came..." and they laughed like mad.

On the way back to our hotel at Batu Buruk (near the beach), we saw a few huge ships and Siew Pin asked me which one was mine - a gift from the Sultan. So I berlagak-ly pointed at a huge ship without realising that it was a cargo ship - weih, kena gelak kaw2 lagi satu round.

This year, the Sultan officiated our national tourney for the second time. We had to line up at the main entrance of Mahkota Parade behind the Selangor flag. We stood there for at least 20 mins and my friends were complaining about MY Sultan and predicting the problems he's facing at that time - lambat lah, limo rosak lah, bodyguard tak sampai lagi lah and so on. Joe told me to wave at the Sultan when our contingent parade in front of him - hell no, I won't do such thing and I didn't!

During the opening ceremony we had to line up facing the stage, had to stand till the end of all the lengthy speeches and the Sultan uttered erm...less than 30 words to officiate the tournament - we were damned glad sebab dah sakit kaki (tired of driving from KL-M'ka actually). We were told by the organizers that our team captain/manager has to say "junjung kasih tuanku" when the Sultan walks down to periksa barisan (agaknyer lah) and gives the cenderahati...Siew Pin volunteered and asked me how to do the "sembah" so I showed her. When the Sultan came, she and Loga pushed me in front, forcing me to "sembah" the Sultan and receive that cenderahati...aiyah, I was damned embarrassed because I was trying to hold myself back, nasib baik tak jatuh on the Sultan...malu giler!!

Last tuesday, during our regular practice, Loga told Ms.Tan what happened during the opening ceremony. Kena gelak lagi! And Ms.Tan has been calling me the wife of Sultan and said in two years time, we'll have to change the Agong's and Permaisuri Agong's pictures - Sultan Mizan and Sultanah Alia - cheh!

"Hey, by that time, Legends would be rich, ask your hubby to sponsor us ah...then we can renovate the center, we'll hang your pictures at the entrance...ok ah?"

"Aiyak, sir...you also join the rest ah...I thot I can at least mengadu to you about the embarrassment that I had to put up with last week...sir, you're so kejam lah! hehehe"
