Sony Ericsson K750i

I am not sure if I could be categorised as a gadget freak as I definitely do not have the latest mobile phone that could capture pictures like a real still digital camera, nor do I have a pda mobile phone that can work as a mobile, compact, sleek computer. However, what I do have in my possession is definitely something that I am grateful for. It's not the latest mobile phone from Sony Ericsson but I am pretty much satisfied with the features and the camera, most definitely.

Sony Ericsson K750i has a built in camera with 2.0 megapixel, autofocus and surprisingly, the flash is bright enough to allow you to take pictures better than the night mode in the **k** that I had before. It does have a night mode feature with lesser light, but I prefer to turn on the flash light when taking photos at night so that the pictures aren't blurry. Definitely (as in the cases of many other built-in camera phones) when transferred to pc, the pictures aren't as nice as displayed on the LCD of the mobile phone. There's a technical explanation for that and I am sure many of you know why such thing happens (in simpler term, I do not know how to explain this technical thingy hahahaha).

Other than the camera, this mobile phone can also play truetones, mp3 and other standard music files. What lacks is the ability of the phone to play sounds (songs etc.) through its media player loudly. When I say loud, I mean LOUD enough to make the person next to you feel envious of the smooth sounds that come from your K750i. Sometimes when I want to share a song with my friend who's sitting next to me in a meeting room (hehe, it's good to do some lansi-ing before the boring meeting starts), the 'feel' is lacking because the sound is not audible enough. I guess this phone is designed for personal enjoyment. If you plug in the earphone the sound is marvellous and you can then dance to the beat of the music. The funny thing about this phone is that when somebody calls you, if you turn the sound on up to the highest level, it will roar fiercely and that's the best time to slowly pickup the phone as a way to show off the LOUDNESS of your sleek phone.

If you're slightly conventional like me, in terms of the design of the phone, you'd definitely like K750i because it is simple and solid. Mine is black in colour, I am not sure if it's available in other colours. As I personally love black, this mobile phone give me the 'macho' look when I carry it around. It also has shortcut buttons for the media player (play, pause, sound up/down, next/previous track). This is not from the Sony Ericsson Walkman series, but some of its features are similar features to Sony Ericsson W700i.

K750i allows you to send MMS (picture messages, recorded sounds and combo - ask your service provider how) and SMS of course. Perhaps the only thing lacking is the 3G feature. But if you ask me, as a language teacher who can't afford to spend more than RM50 monthly for her prepaid reload card, 3G is not an important feature (I am entitle to my own personal opinion ^__^ ).

Overall, I love my Sony Ericsson K750i, and I am happy with every cent that I spend on it. Will post some photos taken using this camera phone later.
