The clock is ticking slowly, my eyes are getting tired. If I had slept in the afternoon, I think I could last longer...let's blame tinker for that ^__^. Joode was crying just now, Baba managed to dodoi him with some of the Quranic verses. My siblings are chatting at the dinning table - kemas sikit, cakap yang banyak ehehehe. Do expect typo and other errors in my upcoming entries. When I was in hostel, I could stay up till dawn, and sleep after subuh for half an hour and go to school at 7am - now everything has changed - if I sleep later than 1am, I would be yawning in class - some lecturers might mistaken it as a kurang ajar way of reminding them about the time, but truely, I'm just too sleepy to listen to the lecture. Dr. J is a strict lecturer, if you doze off in his class, he'd call out your name, and you have to answer his tough questions on the literary text discussed. A good way to ensure everybody follow his lecture closely and read and prepare ourselves before the class. Owh, Dr.J has been "promoted" to full professorship this year, so now, i have to address him as Prof.J. The course that I enjoyed learning most (from him lah) was literary criticism - we discussed about Plato's The Republic, Aristotle's conception of poet and poetry, Sidney, Jonson and so on. I believe that criticism could help us understand literature better. Criticism provides a discussion on literary works as well as the laureate themselves. I you have the chance to learn it, I suggest you go for it - but please remember that you need to know quite a number of literary works so that you won't be lost in the discussion. Criticism and literature would turn you to be more analytical towards life.
