Cici died last nite, Bargey, Louie and Baby, down with diarrhoea and flu. Yes, they're stray cats, but they're my friends (Ace Ventura? The Animal?), I feed them and play with them...I didn't name them, Zak came up with the name Cici, Tinker - Louie, Ejean - Bargey, and Baby...erm, dunno who. Ejean was quite shocked to find Cici in the store dah keras and cold. So, as usual, I had to become the penggali kubur, digging up the soils and making sure it's big enough for the 5 month-old kitten. When cats become extinct one day, the scientists and researchers would probably benefit from the fossils that could be found in my back yard.
My great aunty was convinced that Cici died because I took her photo last week. She (my aunty) then told me that my cousin, ZD, did the same thing and his cat died after two weeks. I was laughing "sorok-sorok" like mad, not in front of her lah bcos she's so sensitive. I can't believe that my aunty is so superstitious. Come on lah, I've been taking Chicky's (another cat) picture since he was born, now he's 3 years old, and he looks as if he's going to live forever!! Some people ah, they tend to completely believe what ever is told to them, and what ever they inherit from their fore-fathers. The mistake of the jahiliyyah people back then in the prophet Muhammad s.a.w time was blindly following their fore-fathers' tradition, customs and beliefs. Are we going to repeat the same mistake? WE, who claimed to be the educated and civilised people? We have the access to every knowledge which is within the reach and capasity of human understanding and reasoning, so how can we simply follow without understanding. Curiosity is a part of human nature, is it decreasing slowly (perhaps rapidly) due to the advanced technology and knowledge that we possess?
