I was waiting in the car for my sister, I saw a lady whom I think was deaf and mute bcos she kept on signalling something with her hands...
Few years ago I went to send my sister to TTDI clinic, no parking space available so I had to wait in the car. A lady came and knocked on the window. She was deaf n mute, she gave some sort of brochure to read. "Persatuan Orang-orang Pekak Msia...Rm10 untuk sumbangan..." - if I donate rm10 I'll get this dunno what souvenir la. The problem was I didn't even have rm1 at that time bcos I gave all my money to my sis. I was so pening, don't know how to tell her that I have no money. I didn't know whether she could read lips or not. So I tried jugaklah, but she couldn't understand. I then showed my empty purse. She showed a sad face and signalled to me (ape yg saya faham la!) that she needed the money for food. So kesian lor, I felt guilty, so I tried to check kat coins compartment tu ada duit or not. Duh...hopeless! I signalled to her that I don't have the money (few times) then only she walked away with a sad face...
Whenever I go to TTDI, I would drive around the clinic area to check whether the lady is available. I feel that there's a need for me to give her the rm10, not because she represents the persatuan but because to this day I still have the picture of her sad face on my mind...
